« on: June 24, 2012, 10:15:47 am »

Does anyone compare MT4 v Mt5 and compared in performance ? I mean run any EA on both and compared which one is better ?

Also do you know which brokers offering MT5 on live accounts ?

I saw one yesterday or the day before. decent place but mt5 doesn't have hedging as far as I understand.  Plus how would you compare the EA, i understand that you must have the ea coded for mt5 for it to work.

MT5 does not support hedging,That is what many traders use MT4 because of trading freedom.
Currently lakhs of EA developed and running over MT4.But MT5 won’t allow the EA developed from MQL4.
For MT5 EA has to developed in MQ5 so idont have idea to compare the EA in the both

FYI - MT6 is in development which will be backward compatible with MT4 and allow for hedging.

The ETA on release? No idea, but MQ has been working on it since after the launch of MT5 do to the low demand based on the reasons mentioned in this thread.

As stated above...no.

I would estimate Q3/4 2013 based on the MT5 development time...just an estimate though.
