So in terms of brokers we now have identified three alternatives with the exotics on micro accounts:
Hotforex, FXCM, Oanda. Anyone know of some more brokers to evaluate here? Also a regulated broker would be good.

Anyhow, when talking of exotics SPREADS are usually very high. Often 20 pips and sometimes 100    So next step here would be to identify the broker with lowest spreads on these pairs. Oandas spreads are here: http://fxtrade.oanda.co.uk/why/spreads/live

InstaForex have all the exotic pairs, but i guess their fixed spread is so high.

Hi all

Just got on board with Statarbpro last week so waiting for the rules to settle down in my head.

I trade FXCM on demo and will eventually move it on to my Live account at FXPro - both have all the exotics, but FXPro only allow minimum trade of 0.1 lots.

The wild card in this system seems to be how many and which of the pair trading recommendations you would take each day.
If it recommends more than you can risk is there a methodology provided to select only the best trade recommendations?
Also, I'm wondering if the EA will be intelligent enough to work by first ranking the trade recommendations in terms of positive expectancy, then selecting trades dependent on number of trades/risk able to be taken and pairs available on your broker?

Regarding exotics, I took a look at the myfxbook trades summary which provides the following info:

• Out of the top 13 pairs ranked by pips won, there are only 2 exotics: EURSEK, USDNOK (although they are the 2 largest pip wins!!).
• Out of top 13 pairs ranked by largest number of trades taken, there are no exotic pairs.
• Out of top 16 pairs ranked by largest number of winning trades, there are no exotic pairs.

So although it would be nice to have a broker with all the exotics available it looks like it could easily still be traded without them.

I'd love to hear McLeans thoughts on these.

Soulfire you cant analyze by that method, because those trades were arbs, so you need to know what combinations were used, you cant just look at the per-pair gain/loss, and myfxbook doesnt show that unless you manually group them by open/close time. Did you do that? Also, McLean said that the results are only valid for the past 2 months, did you apply that filter?

When I filter back to 4/10 as custom date, then look at the summary, only EURSEK looks to be an exotic that gained many pips - but again, unless we know the full arb we cant tell for sure what the TRUE trade result was.

The underlying point is valid though, it would be good to have some way of ranking "arb quality", since it may present a MM issue to try and hold more than X arbs at a time.

He hasn't responded because he promised to release the 1.3 indie update and has been busy so he could meet his release date.  He doesn't want to be like other vendors that say they are going to release something and not do it in the time they commit to.

He's been swamped with questions and may temporarily suspend any new sales this coming week until he can catchup with things is what i am hearing.
