Hi mates,

I did open an an Instaforex account yesterday to be able to use all SAP's pairs , it's a snap!

I'm thinking about something SAP's team could do for us to help communicate about our trades.

Why not give a sequence number to each arb on the site ?

Doing this, we could communicate when whe open a specific trade without giving any usable information to the casual reader.

Small thing to do for them, real advantage for us, absolute beginners that will need to check if we interpret correctly our line crossings.

We could say, by exemple, entering 34 today at 17:00 GMT;

Hi I did have a EURSEK entry, but it wasn't with USDCAD...it was with another pair..in any case as I mentioned above, I wasn't looking to enter any new pairs....I needed to get order to my pairs as I think I may have closed out one or two positions and forgot to close its alternate pair...

In any case, I do have EURSEK and USDCAD charts up now and am monitoring for a time to enter...

In terms of the lot sizes, what you entered with at the time should stay..

About the EURSEK-USDCAD trade, I took it on June 11 night, I don't understand why I had the signal and you not. I attach the chart where you can see my indicator and how the blue line cross back the volatily line. Did I understand the system wrong?

Other question is that the lot sizes of the signal has changed in the indicator, the original lot sizes for this signal was 0,01 for long and 0,01 for short, but now how you can see in the chart the short has changed to 0,02 in the indicator, why? can the lot sizes of a signal change when it is still open?

My signals show .02 for long and short....why?  You'll have to ask Statarb that one...not sure, but I'm not in a signal and if at the time you entered it said .01, then its .01 for you....

Remove the indicator from your chart,

Make sure you're on Daily and both charts of the pairs you're playing are up
Place indicator on first pair only
Check the Allow for DLL box
enter your email/password/pairs and symbol suffix, change any color you need change (I change my blue to orange because I run a black background) and then click ok...it should come up

wadib, you must only see the new signals AFTER the day that the signal appear in the Statarb web, so EURSEK USDCAD appear in the web on day June 11, you must find a enter signal after this date, what happens before that date doesn't matter...

But I see that your daily chart and your indicator lines are very different from mine, you can see in the charts I posted before that I had a signal June 11 night and you didn't have it, and I think this happens because in your chart for your broker you don't have June 10 bar and in my chart there is June 10 bar, and the difference it a positive signal for my broker and no signal in yours... what is your broker wadib?

So I make a question to Statarb, Must i use brokers without sunday bars? because I see these bars can produce signals...

XOden, Tradenow, please, if it is possible,  could you post a image capture of your indicator lines chart for EURSEK to see the differences between your brokers lines and mine, so we could see how important is the broker selection...

I have mixed feelings about this.

I agree that we should not be giving out this information to the public. No doubt, arbitrage pair selection is one of the most important parts of this strategy.

But, I just don't see how this idea with sequence numbers will be supported by forum users. And, unless somebody starts to post daily algorithm results to the forum, I think it won't hurt that much to have a spoiler here and there.

What about making a topic on vendor's forum where we will post our daily enter and exit triggers? That way we limit exposure and at the same time we can compare our interpretation of the indicator results. Anyway, I think it's a pretty basic thing and after a couple of trades, we will be good to go on our own.

I also think that the manual needs a bit of updating with more examples of entry triggers. For example, I don't think that it's clear to everyone that entries triggered before the algorithm picks the pair should be disregarded.

Can somebody clarify what the new 'hand' signals mean? I've been seeing Green/Red fingers on the screenshots, but all of mine are light and dark grey hands on trades that I have open.

I believe they are just a visual reminder which pair to buy and which to sell.

They don't seem to signal an entry though. My ratio line did not yet cross the volatility line, but the hands are already green and red on all of the charts.
