They have to pay for Entitlement programs somehow, what a joke! The US has already found ways to screw all traders, thanks Barney and Chris.

There's no way this will happen. It is like saying of you want to enter the department store front door it begins with a general useage sales tax, then go pick out what to buy off the racks. It just shows how much tax the wealthy have avoided and managed to become "tax takers" of sorts. In Italy they are cold stopping Lamborginis and other high end sports cars and check the drivers tax records. In Greece they are going nuts looking for deadbeat wealthy. But then again this is the set group that got good treatment for years. So like I always said "what goes around comes around" I would not worry about this issue becoming law but then again who am I really to say for sure. Just my humble opinion. I think worse than this has already been proposed by the CFTC like no stops, leverage 1:10 etc. All childish ideas from a childish set of asses who care not that we earn a living the "hard way"

A FFT or Financial Transaction Tax has been debated since the 70's in the US, UK, and what is the now the Eurozone. Every time there is a financial bubble, a recession, or any type of transition of wealth it rears it's ugly head. The new initiative has taken on the name the 'Robin Hood Tax' in the UK as it is supposed to rob from the rich and give back to the poor. We all know that is a load of BS. How many billionaires do we have here on DFX?

In the end the brokers, banks, and intermediaries that run the financial markets know this would undercut their customer base and it would have a difficult time passing....

Cheers,
