If 3.0.18 is crashing your MT4, I suggest you go back to 3.0.16 for now. Remember to report any problems with 3.0.18 to Team Envy. I believe they will be releasing another update in a few days to address the new bug BB reported today.
As far as I know, some brokers customized their MT4 platform. Some are pretty lite and sleek, some are not, speaking from my own experience.I will limit the number of bar per chart and hide those unused forex pairs in market watch segment. I have no problem in running 12 charts per instance.

Thanks for all the great tips guys! Will try them out.TradeFort VPS does not seem as stable recently. Will try to reduce the memory used to see if it helps.
Has anyone had any issues with using FE with non-USD accounts? Specifically 3.0?Thanks

The vps is not at all good. If you are serious about trading don't save the extra dollars and go for a real vps. Since envy doesn't even need the vps to be close to the server, you can get any vps that is somewhat reliable... you can get them as cheap as 15 eur month.

Hi, I was wondering what would be the effect of running an account on HV Long cycles only using risk 0.5 as opposed to 1.0 I have already observed that running the long cycles alone on default risk 1.0 seems to be pretty safe, even during wild swings and frankly the returns are still quite decent. However, I am thinking of running a very low risk low return (30-40% ROI per year) as a 3rd account. Any suggestions/opinions?Regards,

Is this an estimate or is there something to back this up? Can FE Team answer for certain with backtest for v3.018 if HV has ever margined with risk 1%? Is there a monte carlo for HV alone? Fmonera might be best to answer this if he is around.

If you withdraw from time to time and you are able to build a backtest with both the withdrawals and the wipeouts (enough number of both to be statistically significant) there is a way to make a Montecarlo analysis useful. But as it is now, I honestly don't know what information would give a Montecarlo analysis on a system with 100% probabilities to wipe an account. No matter the initial size of a trade, you will be risking your whole account on every trade.(Robert, I am not saying anything bad about Envy. It is obvious that there is a chance to make money with it. Please, correct whatever is wrong in my sentences, I tried to be very cautious.)

Please, correct whatever is wrong in my sentences, I tried to be very cautious.)You are correct that 100% of money is at risk with the 1st trade taken, as you need to take the basket to breakeven or profit. Is there a possibility to confine your Monetcarlo generation software to parameters that span historical maximum range + 5% for each pair? This will not be true Monetcarlo however will make do for most of us to determine viability of HV only on long term strategy. This test would not include any withdrawls. After thought:Now that I think of it what I am asking for is backtest with +5% margin of range. Need to know if it ever blew up in last 10 years for HV long. This is supposedly the safest strategy of FE, and I do not employ any EA on my live accounts that have blown up in backtest. So it is important for myself and a few others on this thread.
