Jeez

After 6hrs of watching GBPUSD constantly on level 14, I have finally closed it manually, TP did not work at all  ::)
It's Perfectly Work..mine just close at last minute  :)

Mine hit the TP a few times and even went above it, I was waiting and waiting until I had enough and closed it by using chicken = true.

What I have also experienced is that sometimes FE wont respond to chicken = true, I seen this on the demo. Only way is to close the trades manually. I think FE must have lost control of the trades there.

I dont know, Im really beginning to get worried, I hope FE doesnt do this too often and hoping it all fixed in V3.0

Hi Chris,

If you are basing that analysis on my DeskTop, please understand the Price shown between the Buy and Sell Basket TP's is the Mid Price ie. (Ask + Bid) / 2. So it is correct that the Mid Price may go above or below the Basket's TP and not Close because the Spread is NOT Zero.

That is why I released Version 13, which shows the actual distance in Digits (divide by 10 for Pips) the Buy TP is Above the Bid and the Ask is Above the Sell TP.

As the TP is set in the Order, it must close at the TP unless the Server did not have enough available Lots at that Price to use to Close your orders.

Hi BB

Yes Im using your desktop V11 and that make sense now, I will install V13 asap.

Cheers  8)

GBPUSD, Buy, Level 14, Short Cycle Basket just Closed at 1.54862.
Nice little earned that.
Way to go Envy.
Was temped to Close it Manually.
Have decided I MUST Trust Envy.
Did that and Envy delivered.

BTW that was my TradeFort Live Account, Margin In Use Maxed out at 30.5%. But WTH? We fund Envy the way we do so there is sufficient Money in the Account to allow Envy the Wiggle Room it needs. When we interfere with Envy by Closing Baskets Early we are in effect trying to make Envy work with less capital and that, well for me anyway, is something I will not be doing any longer.

I now follow TE's advise and withdraw profits into another account. I mean Robert and his TE team have been doing this a LOT longer than we have, so lets follow their advise.

Every time I have manually altered Envy, sure I got out but had I not done that, Envy and my Account would have been OK. Even with the BIG EURUSD badly formed Long Buy Basket (Zero SL fault), the Basket would have closed in Profit and the Account would now be 25% bigger than it is.

While Your Mileage May Vary, I have learned the Math and Research behind Envy is VERY GOOD and I plan to follow what TE suggests.

Hi BearBull,

sorry to hear that. i got the same problem too in a different pair on the current broker i am with.

hopefully the power edition can recover all of our losses. also properly a broker that is much better with forex envy 3.0. u know.

BB you are absolutely right and have thought the same.

I have closed GBPUSD manually on my instaforex account and made some profit. While I let envy just close GBPUSD on my tradingpoint account.

I done this 2 weeks ago too and lost profit (chicken) but if I let it just run envy would have done a much better job.

Best let it do its job  8)

I tried the green-horn way of doing things, and opened a HF wallet with envy about to kick off and trade in the new month.... heres the pamm fxbook, .. see all the deposits streaming in?
http://www.myfxbook.com/members/ForexEnvy/hot-forex-pamm-account/285662

I think that one of the reasons that the pamm isnt so profitable as just running the long-cycle bot yourself, is that they have to wind down and then restart the trades every month. .. Think of it as the monthly "investor bus" for people with no driving licence and no "private car"... Just hop on or hop off the bus, but lots of stops .. LoL ... ;D

On the fxbook account, click on the "Browser new" button under the graph, and you can see this clearly with each currency pair. Quite interesting...

Much better having your own car or bot...

That Envy manage the trades by itself is absolutly correct. ( If people dont have the 0 sl error) I have not been interfering with the trades and last month has been the most profitable month for me with Envy this far. I have been running Envy since the beginning of February. If all is ok with installation it is just to let it do what it should. I am impressed how it handles the drop in the market the last weeks. Envy makes money from the Volatility and does it so far very good. I follow the advices from Team Envy about turning on and of short cycle each week and that is all.

Maybe my DeskTop lets us see TOO MUCH and we are tempted to limit the Margin In Use getting, what WE see as, TOO high when that Margin is there to give Envy the Wiggle Room it needs to snag the Retrace.

I had exactly the same thoughts. It's pretty hard to watch a 14 level basket going the opposite way.
Well, today I just let Envy do it's thing and I'm not regretting it one bit. Retraces rock.

Hi,

I have a question regarding the expiring of the older installations of InstaForex MT4 terminals.

I tried to save the current profile and copy to the new installation, but the saved profile isn't there. All I can see are the profiles that come with MT4; default, Euro, Market Watch etc.etc.

Any advise other than open all charts and install Envy again?
Is there a simpler way to put the Envy Key in the charts?

Thanks,
Gertjan

Hi guys,

is there anybody  using IBFX au with envy?

regards,
Philipe

Philipe, i'm using it on their mini account - long cycles only
Hi Mokh,

and is it working as it should?
If you have no problems ,I think I am going to open a mini-account with them.

I am not sure that Cyprus-brokers (tradingpoint)are surviving the problems they are facing.

regards,
Rob

Philipe, it' been a month only but all seems ok, except the spreads are a bit high.

Worries about Cyprus are a bit exaggerated

I don't know why you trade robots. If you are going to sit and watch them and stress out then you will probably do better manual trading. Forex trading is certainly not for everyone and you should realise this. What I mean is ,I can't dance. I'd like to but I'm just bloody hopeless but at least I know this.

Good Luck
