Thanks BearBull.

So I see 36k would be good amount to fund an IC markets account.

With full HV support of both Long and Short Cycles yes.
NV with Long only is $20.
Cycles refer to time frame over which they trade.

Nv with long only is 10.5k, no?  That's what I was told.

Gertje,

If you are running on the smell of an Oily Rag,
maybe set your Max Levels to what they are now,
and Open Hedges with SLs at the Hedge Entry price to ride this out.

Don't recommend using Hedges if Envy can open Orders lower down.
Could be bad news.

No worry's mate.

Account is alive and kicking! Now at 1600% margin acc. MT4, and 29% in use according your indi. Was never over 37% in the last 2 months.

I have experience hedging, but that opens a whole other can of worms. What when price keeps crossing your 'hedge-line'? Enter, exit. re-enter, exit, re-re-enter, exit, etc. etc?

:)

Hi guys,

A few questions I hope you could answer..:

1)Do you all know how much money do I need to start trading forex envy power edition V3 (i believe it is out?) with
       i) IC markets
       ii) IBFX mini
       iii)IBFX standard account?

2)What is the difference between long/short cycle and forex envy power edition?

Cheers,
iwillsurvive
Umeku's Spreadsheet should give you most of the answers:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/lv?key=0ArZy3Hp-O64JdEE0Si1VeFNnYzlORWhZMGQ0ZXhVN1E

FE3 is currently only recommended for use on Demo accounts. This gives you ample time to have a good read-up on this thread, get yourself up to speed on FE's Journey So Far and ready for the Live launch :)

OK just took a look at this super comprehensive spreadsheet.

When I buy forex Envy, which "version" does it come in? HV? LV? NV? Power?

2.1 has HV, NV and LV Set Files that FE supplies you by email.
2.1 is the only version you can currently buy.

3.0 (still in Beta test) has Power, HV, NV & LV modes you select when you attach the EA to a chart.
It then looks at you Account and loads the appropriate Set File from the FE server.
As your Account Balance grows, 3.0 continually loads the appropriate set file.
This helps your Profit to make more profit.
 Compounding your return.

Hi BearBull:

1. After I purchased the EA, how do I determine which set file I should use and work the best for me in terms of profitability and account safety?

2. I heard a lot of HV, NV, LV, Power edition and 2x/3x risk settings but I have no clue how the 'interchange of settings' and 'application of settings' work specifically on my own account. Do I need to change the set file constantly from HV to LV or something similiar as market condition change? Or I only change the set file once my account balance is grew?

3. Speaking on account balance, I believe the EA is very active in trading and trades will certainly hold up the available fund. How can I determine the real available account balance and change the set file? And we do it once a month or ... ?

Sorry for raising naive questions as I have no idea how the post-purchase process goes but I definitely interested with this EA, and I do understand the Team FE is busy with 3.0 version.

Thank you for you time.

 :D

Currently:
You email FE Support your Broker and Account Balance.
They email you the appropriate Set File.
Each Set File has the Account Balance Range it can work with as part of the Set File name.
When you Account Balance grows beyond the Upper Limit, you ask FE Support for the next Set File in the series.
It is all explained in the FE Web Site's Getting Started, Settings and Advanced Sections.

Example of Set File growth is attached.

Bearbull, on your attached png file, what is the meaning of those max-12, max-16 and max-1000?

BB, with low capital, I can't find a better broker other than Tradeport ranging from all aspects. Do you have any comment/suggestion on Tradeport?

With that, I think I will settle with Tradeport with a capital around $1K. I understand that the broker has a size limit of 100. Will it affects my trading and how much I can grow with Tradeport in terms of account balance with that 100 limit?

Many TIA for your time!

Bearbull, on your attached png file, what is the meaning of those max-12, max-16 and max-1000?

That is the Max Lot size of that Set File.
Max Lot is the size of the Last Basket Trade that will be entered.
Some Brokers limit this to 100.
That limits the size of the Envy Account Balance you can run with that Broker.
