Spread Betting with Alpari MT4 (Sorry Brits only)!

Hi Guys,
I've just heard that Alpari are offering Spread Betting on the MT4 platform. This means that UK residents can Spread Bet using EAs, with all the Tax advantages that entails. Until now only one Spread betting company (GKFX) offered the MT4 platform. Its good to see a big company like Alpari entering the market. I'm probably gonna open an account in the next few days. Does anyone have experience spread betting with Alapri? How do they compare to GKFX?

Great news! I actually saw an ad at Paddington Stn earlier today for Alpari, thought it was promoting their usual forex stuff.

Will be depositing over onto Alpari soon :-)

Downloaded the demo and seems to be exactly the same as standard account in terms of spread,execution etc. Cant see any reason not to use it

Good to hear that Alpari are on the game of SB + MT4.

I went into their site, seems like their spreads are a bit wide though ?   Eur/usd  from 1.6 pips, so does that mean it can be 2.0 sometimes as well ?

Are they trying to penalise people for using MT4+ SB  ?   I believe Cap spreads is still 1.0 on the euro,  but obviously no MT4 ........

Anyone tell us what the typical spreads for the majors are?

I guess this will one of their Market Maker type accounts and therefore doesn't have the spreads of the Pro account when you go live?

Does the demo use the Pro spreads like their normal demo?

I was going to open an account with Alpari also but at the moment cannot see the point. Their spreads are very wide.

This is a spread comparison tool from myfxbook which compares live spreads. Not sure if the Alpari UK spreads are taken from their spreadbetting, but the GKFX certainly are.

GKFX is constantly amongst the tightest (despite being a SB) and always better than Alpari.

For entertainment value, watch the spreads on FXCM around news 

I use an EA which trades AUDNZD. Alpari has a 12pip spread versus 6.5 usually with GKFX!

I monitor various brokers with this tool and, so far, GKFX and Hot Forex are constantly amongst the best.

Excellent link , thanks very much ........   I think GFT has also started doing MT4 as well ?
