Just came across this a free open source  MT4 EA on the 4th place Andrey Voytenko.  Anyone has tested this one?

I ran it both demo and live for a few weeks, but did not find it profitable, maybe some tweaking and optimizing will do it, but I gave it up. John

I only have 2010 data and it seemed quite ok on default setting on 10k default setting.  Not that great an EA with profit factor of 1.26 but consider it trades about 679 times average about 150 pips per month is not too shabby may worth considering to ran it with a small lotsize and see how it goes.

In the interview, Avoitenko says:  "This system works well on the periods when the market moves from the area of low-volatility to the high volatility area."

I guess this is the beginning of Market Sessions.  I don't see a time filter though.  Is there a filter based on volatility, or am I missing something?
