I bought EA Shark 5.0 a few months ago and it flopped after a few weeks.  Today I got an email asking me to upgrade to EA Shark 6.0 for almost another $300 bucks.  I don't trust them... when you spend over $300 on an EA, upgrades should obviously be free.

I just received new EA Shark 6.0 and now runnig first detailed test. At the moment I`m not sure that I can trust what I see.

LOOKS AWESOME  :)

But however that should not be buy recommendation, because we all know that backtesting is just backtesting and only forward testing can show the truth. I willl now start forward testing on my demo account to share then results with you. And if someone already has any forward testing results I would very appreciate if you share them here.

this EA had a very good backtest nd forward test, but it completely tanked big time in 2010.

maybe they have fixed but i would like to see 2010.1.1 til todays date with fixed lot size of 0.1 lots to understand the recent tests and expectations.

if you can do that backtest and post it, i thank you.

I don't trust these guys unless someone here can show me proof that this EA actually performs.

If you look at their website, every month seems to be a good performing month...and the "proof" is a HTML statement...we all know how easy it is to 'adapt' those.

Regarding backtest: looks interesting, but that can only be achieved by either:
1. have the EA read the price "ahead" and trade on that info
2. or have an ea that opens tons of trades and suffers from large floating DD

Since 2 is not the case here (looking at the statements), I smell something fishy here.

Caveat emptor..!
I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

Warning:  It is curve fitted data that produces that wonderful backtest.  They suckered me in with similar curve-fit graphs when I bought EA Shark 5.0, only to find out the hard way.  Hope you guys don't fall for this.   ;)

By the looks of this it looks like a Scalper, unlike previous versions.

While i am agree that trading parameter can be curve fitted for a limited time period i am sure it is not possible for a period from 10 years.

the developer (forexeasystems) is a big scam liar! I no more trust their products because they manipulate their result in website using photoshop. why bother photoshop if your product can really generate this awesome result? I hope everyone don't fall into this anymore. regards.

*lol*...how in 3 goods name they should manipulate a 5.5 MB html file with photoshop?

Do you use the EA Shark 6.0 and can explain us why you mean that the EA is not good?

Because i think you try to talk it bad to come later up with something like "all and everything scam but take a look to my system". From what i see it is an awesome EA. Why? Shown back test results match with the tests i did and it already made 20% during forward testing.

Hi Guys, how is everybody doing today?  :)

How much i dislike such posts:

> BUY THE SYSTEM, YOU WILL MAKE 3K EVERY DAY (without any proof)
>IT IS A SCAM I KNOW FOR SURE (also without any proof)

It wastes times from forum members who are looking for useful information and makes the poster look stupid.

@ JohnT

Thank you for sharing your forward results. I demo trade the EA since 2 days on a Tadawul account. So far EA runs well, but profit is less then on your statement as i use the default setup.

Great to see you have getting good results.  I have been running the Shark EA for a few days on an Instaforex demo account were the EURUSD has a fixed spread of 3 pips.  The two trades I had are both positive.  I am not getting as many trades as the above Alpari account is showing.  I am wondering why I have fewer trades.  I hope the EA is not broker dependent and that it will run well on other brokers. Any comments would be appreciated.  Thanks.

@ jeffstar

I already tested the EA on different platforms with different spread. Between 0.5 and 4.0 pips spread, Shark is running well. I did not run any tests with 4.0 or more pips spread as i did not found any broker with such high typical spread on eurusd.

General valid rule: Then lower the spread and faster the execution, then better. :)

Actual i think a broker with floating spread and instant execution is the best solution.
