Hi everyone, has anyone tried Forex GridBot http://www.forexgridbot.com/ ? I am still new to EAs and I am not even sure what Grid Trading exactly means but at first look it seems interesting, even though the live account data does not show a long enough history ... Cheers, Tibor

Hi,
I've not challenged it yet. But I'm very interested too.
I think they won't announce backtest.
Because, it seems that VIP MEMBERSHIP(now free) offers new optimization setthings at each week.
I suppose they will optimize and provide setthings every week, so that, setthings may be different week by week, and they can't provide backtest result with same setthing.
These are only my guess.
After all, the best way to know how this EA peform in past is to buy it and check by oneself. Fortunately, it's selled via Clickbank! I'll try it before long.

I have to agree. I am very interested. I may just go ahead an buy it because it is a clickbank product and I can get the refund. If or when I do I will let you know how it goes.

I have gridbot and it is doing okay on a demo. I'll update in my newsletter but it appears to be okay. Interesting to see how this one goes over hte course of the next month.

Hi Donna,
Does it work on Pound/Yen only or is it for other pairs too ? How does it work ? Have you planned to post the mt4stats ?
Thanks
Reinhold

Interestingly, if you take the $500 live account, the following breaks down performance by trade started time: Time Sum of Pips 0 -73 1 -15 2 -64.4 3 60 4 -30.4 5 -0.4 15 24.7 17 689.5 18 312.1 19 33.4 20 38.7 21 10.1 22 -39.1 23 49.2 Grand Total 995.4
Donna, can you alter the settings by hour as you can in FAPT?

I've just created a mt4stats here: http://donnaforexgb.mt4stats.comI have it setup on USDJPY and GBPJPY. It is not locked to these pairs however and you can put it on any, but these are the recommended ones. You can change the trading times, yes. There are two versions, you get one version for a small account and another one for accounts greater than $1000. I'm not sure what the difference is exactly. I have the $1000+ version on this mt4stats. The EA places pending orders at set points away from current price. It places orders both above and blow the current price, about three of each, although looking at my account, any trades that are not triggered by the end time are automatically cancelled. The pending trades are all for the same direction e.g. all buy trades. I guess the EA is making a decision about the trend direction, and then attempting to trade in the direction of that trend... whether the trend immediately carries on upwards (or down) or whether it retraces, it aims to catch the trend in both instances. I am very interested in this EA.

I'm confused (which isn't difficult ) Manual says best times for EA to trade is during NY and London overlap - which I believe is 1pm (12GMT) to 5pm (1600GMT), so why is the EA default trading time 1600 to 0100 ?

Just to confuse the issue even more......I have an open trade on GBPJPY - opened at 1402GMT. Think it's time to send support an email. Would be good to understand whats happening here.

Just bought this EA and asked for activation.
For now I'll run it on my demo account...
Any answers yet on the time difference? It seems though that the default settings are the most profitable...
