FAPTurbo51 SCAM

Yes, it really is a scam, don’t buy into it. We are getting deluged with email asking us if FAPTurbo51 is for real, and i’m afraid it really is not.

I know a lot of people are curious beyond what is healthy – so if you just want this scam then you can download their “cracked” holy grail style version from their website directly (instead of buying it!):- FAPTurbo51
Update 11 December: Scammer site has been removed and now shows the fapturbo site. It’s nice to see a scamster turn from their wicked ways ;) .

I DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING THIS!!!!!! I cannot stress highly enough how you shouldn’t get involved in scams for many reasons, namely the risk of viruses and other nasty things lurking on your harddrives. At least this way you don’t have to pay for the privilege of downloading a virus.

Although a pretty convincing looking website we have had to have a chuckle over this one privately since the site is just so badly put together. The website didn’t even use their own images, they hotlinked all their images from the FAPTurbo servers. What was funny was that this allowed FAPTurbo to simply alter their image in their server, and have an entirely different image displayed on the scamsters website (declaring “scam”). Unfortunately these guys went back to school and asked their I.T. teacher how to upload an image to their server and have since fixed it.

It turns out that FAPTurbo 51 is just the same as FAPTurbo 49, i have word that the only difference is that the scammers altered a couple of the default parameters to make it appear different in the settings list.

This isn’t of course the first time we have seen a scam, we see many pass through our doors. We did want to highlight this one since it is both potentially dangerous (i.e. a lot of people willing to pay money for this ‘amazing’ version of fapturbo) and also pretty dumb (yeh, you don’t need much intelligence to be a scammer nowadays).

What Can I Do To Stop A Scammer?

If you are the victim of a scam, whether as a purchaser or as a product seller who has had their product stolen, then you need to contact the scammers payment processer. In this case it is paypal. Don’t just ask for a refund if you bought the product, let them know it is a scam and let them know exactly why it is a scam. Do so in a calm manner, don’t jump up and down and get excited about it – they may dismiss you as an internet complaints extremist and put you in the category of people they don’t want to deal with. Just tell them calmly and lay down the facts so that they can work towards a solution. I have found this by far the best approach.

When you buy online, try to use a credit card (or other card which allows for chargebacks). Initiating a chargeback via your bank is one method to recover your monies should the product turn out to be a scam. Please do not issue chargebacks unnecessarily though, the proper route is to go to the vendor and payment processor to first request a refund. From experience i have found it often better to go direct to the payment processor – people who sell scammy items are not very likely to respond to you when you request a refund and so the payment processor may be your only route.

Common Payment Processors

Clickbank – Click the link in your receipt email for “customer support”. If you do not have it then go here: http://www.clickbank.com/orderDetail.htm?clear=true

To report problem affiliates / scams /illegal activity of any kind (abuse of Clickbank’s service) see here: http://www.clickbank.com/network_abuse.html

Plimushttp://home.plimus.com/ecommerce/buyers/buyers-support (select “refund” from the list and enter your details). Plimus may negotiate with the seller to try to resolve your problem, however if it cannot be resolve or the vendor does not respond Plimus will usually issue a refund.

Paypal – Contact the seller to request a refund. If they do not respond or help in any way then you can lodge a dispute through paypal. See the paypal help files for how to do this (or click here). The vendor must respond to a dispute lodged through paypal or risk getting their account blocked/limited. If they receive a large number of these disputes, especially if they do not respond to them adequately it is likely they will get banned from using paypal.

If you believe a product to be fraudulent then you can report this to Paypal by clicking the “contact us” buttons on their site. Click to contact them via email and there should be an option there to select “report fraud”. You may find it easier in more serious cases to phone them, although it is not always very easy to use their phone service (!).

Support Genuine Sellers

If you know of a robot or system which is not a scam and/or does work pretty well, then support their work. Buy from them. Don’t put the good guys down by tracking down and trading with cracked, illegal copies. Let them know their work is good to encourage them to continue and produce more great products.

Don’t Support Scammers

It goes without saying really, but please try not to let something pass if you know it to be a scam. The only reason why people keep on scamming others is because they get away with it and it works. If something is very obviously a scam then go down all the routes you have available to get your money back and make lives for the scammers as hard as possible. Be a pain, pester them continually, report them to their payment processors, their webhosts, service providers, affiliates – anyone you can connected with them. You may find www.whois.net helpful for doing this. Just type in the web address and you will (hopefully) get back some information about the domain name and the people hosting it, etc. Contact their abuse departments.

Please though, do not take these actions unless you KNOW someone to be a scammer (i.e. illegal seller selling cracked copies) and approach this responsibly. If a robot does not work very well on your account it doesn’t mean the person creating it is a scammer – it may mean their product is not great and needs further work, but it doesn’t make them a scammer. In these cases, genuine sellers will communicate with you to help rectify problems and work with you to get success out of your robot.

More Serious Scams (Fake Fund Managers, etc)

It is imperative that you contact your local police if you have been scammed out of money by a fake fund manager, fake broker, or any other kind of serious financial fraud.

Generally speaking, you should not give fund managers money to trade with. Most of the legitimate ones operating online will work using powers of attorney on your account and will not take funds from you directly. This way, the account and all the money in it remains under your control. You just give them permission to trade your account and nothing more.

Going further into this domain, we find a lot of “HYIP ” (high yield investement program) groups online. Often these are characterised by large claims (fixed 2% a day, etc) and low deposit requirements ($50, $100). They usually have no phone number or physical address and only operate by taking clients money. You normally pay a deposit to them, and you are given a login and password with which you can access their website and see the value of your “investment”. Quite often these investments are simple ponzi schemes which will only pay out for as long as they can find “fresh meat” to come in and invest more money to pay you out with. These are wrong on so many levels it’s scary. The number of legitimate clubs operating i would guess to be less than 0.5% of all clubs out there, a risk which is simply not worth taking.

Anyway, that is enough for now on what was meant to be a quick update post!
