On many forex sites, affiliate links are used in reviews or discussions. When you as a buyer click on these links and then subsequently make a purchase, the person who owns that affiliate link usually gets paid a proportion of that sale. Quite often secret tactics are used to hide these links and make it nearly impossible for the casual web visitor to know that they may be reading a fake review and that the reviewer actually has a vested interest in making sure their review is well received so that people go ahead and buy and hence they get affiliate credit for the sale.
I also use affiliate links here in my reviews. However the difference here is that I don't have huge teams of staff to pay, I don't spend thousands on fancy marketing (actually, we do no marketing at all right now!), and a good deal of the income earnt goes straight back into the site and our community and providing value to you. You will also see that it is only rarely i give a wholly positive review about anything, most reviews are kept very down to earth and honest... the main reason for this is that it is not in my best interests to promote something which turns out to be junk since we often provide refund assistance to help people who want to get refunds. Here is a full list of reasons why buying through one of my links benefits you (and yes, ultimately me too if i do a great job):-
1. Refund assistance. I cannot force bad vendors to give refunds but I know the procedures and policies implemented by the common payment processors inside out. If anyone who purchased through any of my links has issues getting a refund they can come to us to ask for advice and support with the refund process.
2. Support. Often, vendors are not that great at offering support or can only offer the most basic assistance with setup and licensing. Buying through my link effectively buys you extra support from me for free, especially when you are buying robots that we are testing and trading ourselves as we will have the 'on the ground' knowledge to be able to assist. I can't promise to always have the answer to everything, but i will try my best and will give you as detailed an answer as i can. I have been trading for a number of years now (10+) so am well qualified to assist with all manner of trading questions.
3. Scam assistance. If you have been scammed and you can prove it I will try to fight your corner for you. This includes helping get the message out into the internet about your scam experience by publishing your scam review on this site, which receives quite a pretty reasonable amount of traffic (around 20,000 hits a day). I can provide this assistance regardless of if you have previously purchased systems from my site before, however - note that this is paid for from earnings taken on the site and therefore we would really appreciate your support the next time you do purchase a system, as your backing keeps this site running.
4. Special Extras. It is not often that this happens, but sometimes when/if i find a system that is particularly good but has something severely lacking (eg i spot that an EA would be brilliant if only it opened a second trade under condition x), then i may release an add-on EA or trade manager to improve the robot (i did this previously with sniper forex). In order to give away systems or add-ons based on other commercial systems i need to know 100% that you have definitely purchased the original so as not to breech copyright laws. The only way for me to accurately do this and ensure i am not being shown fake receipts is to verify your purchase through my affiliate records. These updates would usually be provided for free to you on the basis that you have already effectively paid for it by allowing me to collect the affiliate commission on your sale. In some rare cases i may ask for an extra payment although i will keep this minimal. If/when any such extras are released this would be of huge benefit to you as a trader, and often would cost you absolutely nothing other than clicking on my affiliate link before you buy.
5. Investment in our community. Income from affiliate commissions and/or advertising pays for our dedicated servers to keep the site running and secure, and also for my research and development, web development, admin, etc. You can rest assured that I will put money back into the site here and attempt to make it a better place.... i've been doing it for over 2 years now and have no plans to stop doing it!
