About
Donna took her first investment as a teenager. Her first ever investment was shares in Skyepharma PLC, a pharmaceutical company, shares which she still holds to the present day, more out of sentiment than of real investment value since they are presently worth only 30% of what she paid for them!
After investing in small numbers of shares for a couple of years, Donna moved on to trading Options, attracted to them because of the high leverage and high profit potential. Information about trading was not so prolific on the internet at that time and needless to say, a lot of money was both won, and then just as quickly lost.
From there, Donna explored spreadbetting and futures trading, which she stuck at for a few years with varying degrees of success, gradually honing her technical analysis skills by reading every book she could get her hands on and nagging forex traders on the internet to share their knowledge.
Donna was introduced to Forex in 2003, at which time she began to get extremely serious about trading and determined to succeed at making a living from the markets. Donna initially loved the Forex scene because it fitted around her job and working hours (she used to be a Legal Secretary in her early 20’s). As time went on however she discovered a much greater benefit – the market patterns much more reliable and less stressful to trade. As with all things in trading, getting just a tiny edge over the market was all that was needed to start turning a trading account around and gradually Donna discovered that it was indeed within the reach of “normal, non professional home traders” to take money out of the markets.
In late 2008, along with thousands of other people, Donna purchased a copy of the popular FAPTurbo robot. Staying at home trading is a somewhat lonely persuit, so Donna got involved on the FAPTurbo forum at that time, answering questions and helping other people get their settings correct as well as understand basic forex concepts and risk management. A short while later, Donna was asked to assist with moderating the forum for FAPTurbo and also to run a series of mentoring classes for users, teaching them how to get the most out of the system. Donna conducted nearly all of her work on a voluntary basis at that time, alongside trading, as she enjoyed helping others out.
Eventually, a couple of months into 2009, we were getting in excess of 100 emails a day from people asking for help with FAPTurbo and other trading robots. It began to get difficult to keep up with both emails and trading, so donnaforex.com was borne. The idea was to publish and share information on different robots/systems and collect people together who had a common goal – to freely share information without boundaries or censoring of any kind (apart from the usual “no spam” rule!). Most importantly, we wanted to do away with sensationalism which is so common in this industry and offer frank, down to earth opinions and guidance.
Donna has built both her trading portfolio and her knowledge of the trading world to it’s present day level. She is an associate member of the Society of Technical Analysts in the UK and is currently studying for her Series 3 NFA exams.
donnaforex.com was originally built by Donna herself and on 14 November 2009 was relaunched, having more than outgrown its homemade roots. We are now very proud of our new and professional home, thanks to the great guys at BigTuna Interactive and Mike Mahan for our logo.

What our members are saying...
I've been receiving and reading your past few newsletters, and I must commend you on your objectivity, honesty and professionalism.
As a newbie trying to find my way through a Forex forest seemingly populated by wolves and scam artists, yours is one of the few voices that I (and I'm sure many others) feel I can trust.
Thank you and keep up the great work,
Tony
